We couldn’t be happier with the result of the stream restoration and permeable, wheelchair-accessible trail construction at Woodend Nature Sanctuary. SMC was a wonderful partner in the realization of our dreams for the property. The project manager and superintendent from SMC always prioritized the smooth operation of our education programs, as well as property rentals during this complex project. Together, they also devised creative and practical “field engineering” solutions to challenges that were not addressed in the paper plans. The SMC team was very organized about invoicing, materials clearance, permit inspections, and a hundred other administrative details for a project with county, state and federal funding requirements.
